IKON Homes NZ Ltd prides itself on being the family that builds for families, says company director Colin Beaumont.

Colin and Lorraine established the business in 2012 and it has been steadily establishing a sound reputation in the busy Auckland Housing market. A builder by trade, Colin had owned a successful building company in East Auckland in the past and for 24 years had owned a thriving kiwifruit orchard and labour supply management company in Te Puke. The move to take on a Building Business was prompted by the desire to get back into building new homes.

IKON Homes NZ Ltd undertakes new home builds. The company offers an extensive range of plans, which can be adapted to suit clients’ needs, and offers a full design and build service with an in-house designer. Clients can also approach the company with their own plans. Quality is an important focus. The Beaumont’s are members of the Master Builders Federation and only use Licensed Building Practitioners for their builds.

IKON Homes NZ Ltd has its show home in the former Nobilo Winery Estate in the Huapai Triangle. The show home is 206 square metres, specifically designed for the site capturing sun and views. It comprises of three generous double size rooms, a media room and an office situated at the front of the house, ideal for any home business. Stand out features include a high ceiling created with the mono pitch roof in the open living space, and high light windows creating ambiance.

Colin says the home is an example of the company’s focus on designing to impress, building to endure. For example, the Beaumont’s are keen on offering clients the option of green technology and ensure all homes they build are solar-ready, even if customers can’t invest in the technology upfront.

“All the cabling for solar is included in the roof to make it easy to connect this technology later. It’s definitely becoming more popular with customers investing up front if they can and if not with the peace of mind that they can easily install solar later when they are ready,” explains Colin. “These technologies pay off down the track and people are increasingly seeing the advantages. It is definitely the way of the future.”

The showhome is open for viewing every weekend from 1pm – 3:30pm at 57 Vinistra Road, Huapai unless by appointment. The office is open Monday to Friday from 9:30am5pm.  We are located at 21 Florence Ave, Orewa, Auckland.

Before getting back into building homes Colin had a highly successful kiwifruit orchard and crop management business in Te Puke. Colin completed his apprenticeship in Te Puke where homes were built the old fashioned way, and ran a successful construction business prior to venturing into the kiwifruit industry. Colin has a proven track record of managing successful business both in the industry and in other industries. His desire to be successful in whatever he puts his hand to is the key driver behind the approach taken at IKON Homes NZ Ltd, to not only build houses but build houses that we can all be proud of. Colin loves all sports and is an avid Yachtie.

Lorraine Beaumont

Lorraine (Colin’s wife) has come from a banking and financial background and has been involved in business for many years. Lorraine is responsible for making sure that IKON Homes runs well financially. Lorraine is a key to the success of the operations ensuring that the accounting side of the business is under control. Making sure all invoices are sent out on time and all invoices are paid on time. Lorraine is a great mum and Nana to 8 grandchildren. She also loves yachting.

IKON Homes NZ LTD are pleased to have Paul as a part of our team. Paul fulfills the role of General Manager Operations and is passionate about all things construction and always strives to achieve the best.

Paul has many years’ experience in residential housing companies filling various rolls and has a wealth of knowledge which he brings to our team.  His expertise in estimating, systems and customer relations ensures the smooth running of our operations with the goal of satisfied clients and a sustainable business.  Paul believes strongly in team work and sound ethics within business. Paul’s wife Lynette is a great supporter of the business.

We are delighted to have Glen on our team.

He comes to us with many years of new home construction. Glen is a great communicator and knows the industry inside out. 

As a Licensed Building Practitioner Glen has no difficulty in meeting the IKON Homes standard and making sure that all those involved in your build do so with the same high expectations.

Glen is married to Sue and has four children and five grandchildren. His hobbies include all aspects of basketball from being a Basketball Referee Educator in the Australian and NZ NBL competitions, coaching various levels of youth representative basketball teams, a National Referee for over 20 years which included many overseas trips.  He also enjoys spending family time in the house he built in Matakatia.

Ikon Homes are very happy to have secured the services of Rae as a New Home Consultant.  She joins us with many years’ experience in Real Estate sales and has ample experience in adding value without over capitalising. 

Rae listens to what you are wanting, is aware of keeping to a budget, as well as finding creative ways to make your dream a reality. “I love working with people and it is really exciting to see a project develop ”.

Between juggling family life, renovating her home, photography/videography, and also loves and studies Interior Design.  Rae enjoys a good laugh, will never say no to a coffee or walk along the beach with family or friends.

Katrina has recently joined the IKON family as our Marketing and Communications Manager. Katrina is Colin and Lorraine’s daughter.

Katrina comes with a journalism and TV presenting background. Katrina Produced and Presented Central News, a regional TV news broadcast for the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions prior to moving to Sydney in 2012. Katrina and her family, moved back to Auckland in September 2018 and is pleased to be part of the family business.

In Katrina’s spare time she enjoys getting outside for walks, going to the beach, camping and her family are fans of speedway.
